I know the only Basketball I've talked about has been about the Boston Celtics so heres my attempt at being an open-minded basketball connoisseur.
The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks: TONIGHT.
Fact: Miami beat Dallas 4-2 in the 2006 NBA Finals. Will they do it again? Thats what we all want to know.
Begin Biased rant:
At Mondays press conference LeBron said something that made him look quite a bit pompous...
"You know, we've got a lot of flack this year, mostly because of myself. And we've tried to use that as motivation every day we get on the basketball court, But just play the game of basketball. That's all we can do is play the game of basketball at a high level. Play Miami Heat basketball."
How annoying.
Everyone knows that The Heat were the much anticipated for team last summer but I believe things changed when Miami met Dallas in the first 2 months of the season. The Mavericks beat the heat both times and the Mavs won the last 14 regular season showdowns. Thats back when it was speculated that LeBron James and Dwayne Wade had conflicting styles that just didn't mesh. I think they have it all organized now as Wade and James are referred to as the "Dynamic Duo" from time to time. Miami's Haslem and Miller are getting back into playing shape just in time as their season-long injuries are subsiding.
After reading the result of Mondays interview I think that The Mavericks' Nowitzki is extremely passionate about bringing LeBron James down. This is going to be a big game ladies and gents.
Post-Game madness to be posted tonight.
