Champions League: Madrid at Barcelona boom badoom doom

Madrid met Barcelona at Camp Nou today for their 2nd game of the Champions League Semi-finals.

"The Champions, The Champions.... The Champioooonnnnsss" - in that opera voice.
Barcelona focuses on the simple things rather than complicated tricks and tactics. They rarely give the ball away as their passing is technically superb. Madrid is a team full of amazing players, individually, but I just don't feel like each one of these outstanding players can shine once they get together as a team. That being said Madrid was definitely the team that started the game; they played hard and pushed even harder. First half of the game Messi was on fire, as was Casillas; it was a back and forth show down between these two and Casillas definitely proved why he's one of the greatest goalies in the world right now. When the second half of the game rolled around Iniesta assists Pedro in defeating the great Casillas, who was just too far out on the field. 1-0 Barcelona. We all thought it was game over right? Barcelona fans were trash talking Madrid fans and then BAMMM, Di Maria puts his all into it but hits the post which then bounces into the likes of Marcelo who just slammed it in net. Annnnnd the game ends 1-1.

You might have just read the above paragraph disappointed in the lack of humour and enthusiasm but I just wrote in the way I felt about the game - good but kind of boring; I got the points down but not as entertaining as expected.

 SG out.
