Remember that time Chicago was tripping out and kicking Vancouver's ass - but then we came back with a vengeance? GREAT times.
Round 2 Game 1: Nashville versus Vancouver.
Making 20 saves yesterday, Luongo seems to be back on track. Higgins scored in the 2nd period - thats when Canucks fan's everywhere breathed a sigh of relief; "Obviously Game 7 is not the same as a Game 1, but it's still the playoffs and you want to win the first one and set a good tempo for the rest of the series" Said Luongo.
No Big deal. Heres what I want to know: Where is Kesler? Its seems as though he was always in the spotlight before the playoffs started. Not so much now? I know, I know, in yesterdays match against the Preds Kesler got his stick on a point shot but just couldn't get one passed Rinne; his efforts are definitely recognized, I just hope we see a little bit more of him in the next 6 games against Nashville.
HERES THE THING, The Canucks did win game 1 but only by 1 goal which means they need to step it up BIG TIME. Rumour has it that the Canucks have a plan for Pekka Rinne - as they should, the guy is unstoppable! Rinne is definitely one of the best goalies in the league, he's even a Vezina Trophy nominee. Heres what Burrows thinks "...we got to get screens, we got to go to the net, push him back in the paint a little bit more instead of him coming out and making those big saves." I agree with Alex(we're on a first name basis), we all know what the Nucks are capable of, we just need them to push a little bit harder. You want to know what else Burrows said about Rinne? yeah? he said "we'll make his life difficult tomorrow." BAMMMM, need I say more? I think Vancouver has a plan for tomorrows game(2) and I can't wait to see what it is!
Stay tuned: Predators Vs. Canucks Saturday April 30/2011 - pregame showdownzios will be posted tomorrow ;).
